Clay Cooper is well-known around Branson for his outstanding performances as host and soloist for several local shows including Texas Goldminers, Country Tonite, and Paul Harris Live. In 2005, he put together a show of his own and now is celebrating the third season in his own home…the Clay Cooper Theatre!

Clay Cooper’s Country Music Express is just that – a fast-paced tour of country music fans’ favorites. All new for 2009, this high energy show is filled with incredible singing, amazing dancing, cowboy tricks, and comedy that will tickle your funny bone! The talented cast includes Branson’s funnyman, Matt Gumm; gun-slingin’, rope-twirlin’ Johnny Lonestar; the Country Express Dancers; the Boys in the Band; and show-stopping 5-year-old Colt Cooper, the “real star” of the show!

Clay proudly announces the addition of our newest cast member, 11-year-old, Carrigan Bradley, from Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma. Carrigan, an American Kids Organization performer, comes to the Country Express Stage to add her fresh, pure country style to some all-time favorite country songs!

Backing up our singers are the Boys in the Band, led by musical director R.P. Harrell and including the fabulous instrumental talents of veteran musicians Dave Clark, Jimmy Hyde, John Lance, Mark Morton and Trent Wideman.

Sara Drake and Nathan Applegate join Country Express Dancers Laura Posavitz, Larry Miller, Tim Lewis, and Tina Cooper. Each dancer’s special training is showcased in an array of dance styles that are certain to entertain one and all. You’ll also see a unique rhythmic performance that’ll get your toes tapping.

If you love country music, come hear Clay and the cast perform yesterday’s and today’s country songs along with a tribute to some legendary performers and a salute to some real heroes, our American veterans.

Clay Cooper’s Country Music Express opens March 7th at 8pm. Other shows in the Clay Cooper Theatre in 2009 include Jim Owen at 10am, the Bob Nelson Comedy show at 2pm, John Tweed show at 5pm, and Paul Harris on select dates year round at 8pm. Call 417-332-CLAY or 888-222-8910 for reservations today!
